Your forms and entries

You choose what to record. Formanza stores your form definitions, answers, dates, notes, selected photos, fixed values, goals and preferences on your iPhone. It uses them to show your history, calculate results and schedule the reminders you set. An email address or phone number entered as an answer is part of your form. It is not sent to us as contact information.

Formanza does not sell your entries, serve third-party ads or use advertising identifiers or third-party analytics to track you across apps or websites.

Optional iCloud sync and backups

If you turn on sync in Settings under iCloud & Backups, Formanza sends forms, answers, photos and fixed values to a private CloudKit database in your Apple Account. Apple hosts it so your iPhones can exchange changes. Turning sync off stops future transfers on that iPhone and keeps its local records. It does not erase the existing iCloud copy.

If you export a backup, the file contains forms, records, photos and settings. The location you choose in Files determines who stores it, for example iCloud Drive or another file provider. Anyone you share the file with may be able to read it. A restore replaces the local library after you confirm. Your iPhone’s own backup settings may also retain app data independently.

Camera, notifications and widgets

Camera access lets you take a photo for a field. The system photo picker gives Formanza only the photos you select. Notifications are scheduled on the device for the reminders you set. You can turn either permission off in iPhone Settings and disable reminders in Formanza.

If you add the widget, it can show form and question titles. The app shares those titles, internal references and completion status locally with its widget. A yes or no answer entered in the widget is held locally until the app saves it. Remove the widget if you do not want questions visible there.

App Store purchases

If you buy an extra form space, Apple processes the payment. Formanza sends Apple’s signed transaction to our verification service. It uses the transaction identifier, product, quantity, environment and refund status to check the purchase with Apple and confirm the number of spaces. Your answers, photos and payment card details are not part of that request.

The service checks the signed transaction in real time and does not save the proof or keep a separate purchase ledger. Apple maintains its transaction history.

When you try to buy a space or the app verifies a transaction, our hosting provider Vercel records technical details. These include the IP address, approximate country inferred from it, client software, time, request path and method, response status and processing time. A request to this service can indicate a purchase attempt or a verified purchase. These details can be associated with the originating connection.

We use these records to verify that purchases work, diagnose failures and protect the service. Access logs are kept for a limited period under the hosting service’s retention settings. We do not use them for advertising or to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

Website, email support and TestFlight

Our hosting provider processes technical request information to deliver the site and investigate failures or abuse. The interactive demos run in your browser. Values you type and photos you choose in them are not uploaded and are cleared when the page is reloaded.

If you email us, we receive your address, message and any attachments you choose to send. We use this information to respond and resolve the issue. Service providers handling hosting or email on our behalf must protect the data they handle and use it only to provide those services. We may also disclose information when legally required.

For beta versions distributed through TestFlight, Apple collects usage and crash information and makes it available to the developer. If you submit feedback or screenshots, Apple shares those with us as well. We use them to investigate problems and improve the app.

Retention, deletion and your choices

Use Progress → History to delete a form’s entries for a date. Removing a question or the form design alone can leave historical answers on disk. Cleanup removes photos that no entry references, with a 24-hour grace period for newly saved images. This does not delete originals in your Photos library.

With sync enabled, deletions propagate to your other synced iPhones when they connect. You can manage the separate cloud copy in your Apple Account’s iCloud storage settings. Deleting the app removes its local library. Separately delete exported files or device backups you no longer want to keep.

We keep support correspondence and operational records only as needed to resolve issues, maintain security or meet legal obligations. To request access, correction or deletion of information held by Warp Valley Inc., or to withdraw consent where applicable, use the contact below. We may need to verify a request. Local records and private iCloud data are managed from your device or Apple Account. Depending on your location you may also contact your data protection authority.
